This fall at the opening of the arts season, I am honored to have my first solo exhibition sponsored by the Houston Arts Alliance:
Constructing the Praxis of Interactivity Felipe Lopez, Artist Houston Arts Alliance Exhibition on view: Thursday, August 29 – Friday, September 27, 2013 Opening reception: Thursday, August 29 from 6 - 8 p.m. Alliance Gallery, 3201 Allen Parkway, Suite 125 Gallery Hours: Wed. - Fri., 3:30 - 5 p.m. and by appointment at 713.581.6120 Alliance Gallery presents Felipe Lopez’s first solo exhibition, featuring monoprint sculptures, paintings and installation work. The works touch upon the connection of the visual center and how the brain responds to “seeing” in two dimensions vs. three dimensions. The use of thermochromics (paints that change color as the temperature changes), as well as works created in 3-D (red and blue) with 3-D glasses will beckon viewers to interact with the installation. Alliance Gallery is a participant in the TX★13 Texas Biennial. About Houston Arts Alliance: Houston Arts Alliance (HAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization that exists to enhance the quality of life and tourism in the Houston region by supporting and promoting the arts through programs, initiatives and alliances.
